Served as Wyandotte Head Coach from 1919 - 1923 with a career record of 81-16.

Coach Percy Parks ... 1927 - 1939

Served as Wyandotte Head Coach from 1927-1939 with a career record of 253-44.

Led the Bulldogs to the 1930 & 1933 State Championships.

Led the Bulldogs to a 2nd place finish in the 1938 state tournament and 3rd place in 1928, 1935, and 1936.
Coach Ashley Elbl ... 1939 - 1942

Served as Wyandotte Head Coach from 1939-1942 with a career record of 69-10.

Led the Bulldogs to the 1941 State Championship.

Led the Bulldogs to a 2nd place finish in the 1940 state tournament & 3rd place in 1942.
Coach Carter Burns ... 1952 - 1955

Served as Wyandotte Head Coach from 1952-1955 with a career record of 65-6.

Led the Bulldogs to 2nd place finishes in the 1954 & 1955 state tournaments.
Coach Walt Shublom ... 1955 - 1969

Served as a history teacher & coach at Wyandotte from 1952-1969. After serving as an assistant for 3 seasons, led the Bulldogs as Head Coach for 14 seasons from 1955-1969.

During his head coaching career at Wyandotte, led the Bulldogs to a 296-26 record & 10 (ten) state championships (1957, 1958, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1964, 1965, 1967, 1968, 1969) and 3 second place finishes (1956, 1962, & 1963)

Owns the Kansas High School record for most consecutive State Championships with 5 (1957-1961). Additionally owns 4th place on the same list with 3 (1967-1969).

Inducted into 8 Hall of Fames. National High School Federation, Kansas Sports, Missouri Sports, KSHSAA, Kansas Basketball Coaches, Missouri Basketball Coaches, Greater KC Sports Hall of Champions, and NABC.

The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts honored Wyandotte and Shublom by including Wyandotte High School in a display of high school dynasties.

In 2003, in what Shublom was quoted as saying was his greatest honor, the Wyandotte High School gymnasium was named the “Walter R. Shublom Gymnasium.”
Coach Don Upson ... 1969 - 1970

Played basketball for the Kansas State Wildcats from 1949-52.

Played on the 1950-51 Kansas State Big 7 Champion basketball team (coached by Jack Gardner) that advanced to the 1951 NCAA Championship game. The Wildcats fell to the Kentucky Wildcats 68-58 in the 1951 National Championship game at the Final Four at Williams Arena in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Served as Assistant Coach for Head Coach Walt Shublom for 12 seasons from 1958-69.

During his tenure as an assistant coach, Wyandotte either won the State Championship (9 times) or State runner-up (twice) in 11 of the 12 seasons.

Served as Head Coach in 1969-70 and led the Bulldogs to an undefeated State Championship.
Coach George Czaplinski ... 1970-1981
-
Graduated from McPherson High School in 1962. Played in the 1961 Class AA Final Four for McPherson leading the Bullpups to a 3rd place finish. McPherson fell in the semifinals to the eventually State Champion Wyandotte Bulldogs 72-54. Earned Honorable Mention Class AA All-State in 1961.

In his first year at Wyandotte, as an assistant coach in Coach Don Upson’s only season as Bulldog Head Coach, helped lead the 1969-1970 team to the Class 5A State Championship.

Served as a head coach at Wyandotte from 1970-1981. Finished with a career head coaching record at Wyandotte of 147-84.

Led the Bulldogs to the 1976 5A State Championship, two state tourney 2nd place finishes (1971, 1977) and one third place (1978).
Coach Randy Springs ... 1981-1986

Coached at Wyandotte for five seasons (1981-82 through 1985-86) leading the Bulldogs to a 99-14 record & the 1984 and 1985 Class 6A State Championships.

Won over 590 games in his career that included a stint as head coach at Sumner Academy of Arts & Science from 1987-2007.

Won the Eddie Ryan Award as the top high school basketball coach in the Kansas City area in 1982 and 1984.

Won the inaugural Paul Lambert Award in 1984 as the top high school basketball coach in the Kansas City area.

Won 6 Kansas High School State Basketball Championships (tied for 3rd in Kansas state history behind Walt Shublom’s 10) in 34 years of high school coaching.

Is the only Kansas high school basketball coach to win state titles at 3 different high schools.

Won the 1976 and 1977 4A State championships at Topeka Highland Park.

Won the 1998 and 2000 4A State championships at Sumner Academy of Arts and Science.

Won the 1976 Grand State Championship (KSHSAA tournament that comprised of the championship teams of all classes), in the only year it was contested.

Inducted into the Emporia State University Athletics Hall of Fame in 2002.
Coach Wayne Van Dine ... 1994-1998 and 2001-2002

Served as Head Coach for the Wyandotte Bulldogs from 1994-1998 and 2001-2002.

Led the Wyandotte Bulldogs to the 1998 Class 5A basketball championship.

Led the Bulldogs to the State Tournament 3 times (1995, 1996, and 1998).

Named the Kansas High School Basketball Coach of the Year by both the Associated Press & the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association in 1998.

Inducted into the Kansas City Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2014.

Assisted by Coach Mark Matney who served as Wyandotte assistant coach from 1994-1998 and 2001-2002.

Matney earned 2nd Team All-Metro by the Kansas City Star & 1st Team Class 4A All-State as a player for the Turner Golden Bears in 1969.
