Oklahoma State Cowboys vs. the Missouri Tigers at Hearnes Center in Columbia, Missouri on February 5, 2001. This game is notable as it was the first game the Cowboys played after the January 27, 2001, plane crash that killed 10 members (including 2 players) of its basketball program. The doomed plane was one of 2 that the Cowboys had taken to their game at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado. Oklahoma State defeated the Tigers 69-66 with Victor Williams scoring 9 points in the game. Missouri’s squad featured future NBA player Kareem Rush, future NFL player Justin Gage, and future owner of the Denver Nuggets, Josh Kroenke.

Oklahoma State Cowboys vs. the #13 Oklahoma Sooners at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater, Oklahoma on February 14, 2001. Victor Williams scored 26 points as Oklahoma State defeated Oklahoma 72-44 in the Bedlam Series. The game featured the coaching matchup of Naismith Hall of Fame coach Eddie Sutton for Oklahoma State and Kelvin Sampson for Oklahoma.
